Malayalam rock band Avial recently started selling on iTunes. In the not-so-distant past, Indian bands would struggle to find a record label; let alone sell to a global audience. These guys are a talented lot and I loved their debut album. That I don’t know a word of Malayalam didn’t come in the way of enjoying their music. Pick it up on iTunes if you are in the US or head to the nearest brick and mortar music store if you are in India (or buy it off musicyogi.com).
